The Real Dill – Caraway Garlic Dills

4.3 out of 5

The label tells you there is a mountain of flavor inside this jar of 100% made from scratch in Denver pickle spears. They aren’t wrong.  Aside from the pickles themselves there is a ton of shit in this jar.  It’s like someone weeded their garden and decided to just throw the weeds into the jar for flavor.  I’m not sure what the hell kind of garden they have, but by golly it worked.  The caraway gives this otherwise very well done dill pickle a wonderful bittersweet undertone that carries this to the next level.   It says “smooth & toasty notes coast to a tangy finish”.   I mean it’s a bit of a stretch, but sure, I’ll buy it.  The spear has a fantastical crunch and overall this whole thing is a slam dunk.  They appear to be either small batch or clever labeling because the top of the jar has a paper seal with a batch # on it.  Mine says Batch #863…. Makes me wonder what batch #007 tastes like.  I bet it tastes like someone took a masculine, suave, sophisticated pickle, gave it a British accent and put that single pickle in a jar filed with shaken not stirred vodka and a Walther ppk.  I bet when you open the jar it greets you by saying “Dill.. Real Dill. ”
