Lang’s Classic – Garlic Dill

4.4 out of 5

It’s a 2BS (two bit spear) that packs some of the best crunch I’ve crunched in a minute or two for a spear.  There is a lot of diced garlic floating around in the jar, and a bit of visible dill which is dry dill weed and seed.  The garlic itself is a bit understated along with the dill.  Nothing stands out more than the other which make this a fantastic standard garlic dill spear.  I’ve sampled Langs honey habanero spears as well and I can tell you that this Lang fella knows what they are doing.  I’m not sure if it’s the placebo of reading distilled water as an ingredient but this is a super clean crisp pickle, and it’s not heavy on the vinegar either which makes it a delight to eat.  The brine is also delicious and is more dill forward than garlic but absolutely delicious.  I’d strain this pickle juice drop in some ice cube trays and put those puppies right into a cocktail.  Between the crunch, the crisp flavor and the silly twine tied around the jar for no apparent reason whatsoever this jar of Lang’s sure comes and goes with a bang.
